Free textbooks in the fields of IT, engineering, business and economics, written mainly by academic authors. You normally have to submit an email address and sign up for the BookBoon newsletter to access content.

Free Tech Books
Free online computer science & engineering books & lecture notes, all of which are legally & freely available over the internet.

LibreTexts 
With LibreTexts, students, faculty, and outside experts work together to build freely available open education resources (OER) that supplant conventional paper based textbooks. LibreTexts currently encompass twelve widely used college-level disciplines from chemistry to humanities with over 68,500 pages. 

Merlot
It contains links to freely available online textbooks from a variety of sources. MERLOT II is a project of the California State University System. 

Milne Open Textbooks
Is an open textbook publishing initiative established by State University of New York Libraries and supported by Sunny Innovative Instruction Technology. 

Oasis
Openly Available Sources Integrated Search (OASIS) is a search tool that aims to make the discovery of open content easier. OASIS currently searches open content from 97 different sources and contains 385,629 records. 

OER Commons
It indexes a wide variety of openly licensed educational materials. Licenses vary by item.

Lists by subject of college level open access texts for Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics.

Open BC campus
BC campus uses open technologies to facilitate, evaluate, and create open educational resources to share across the province and around the world; saving millions of student-dollars through hundreds of open textbooks adopted in thousands of classrooms. 

Open Culture
Free textbooks written by knowledgeable scholars are a relatively new phenomenon with a meta list of 200 Free Textbooks, and check back often for new additions.

Is part of the Rice University which is a non-profit charitable corporation? Its mission is to give every student the tools they need to be successful in the classroom.

OpenStax allows you to share and freely adapt educational materials such as courses, books, and reports.

Open Textbook Library
Open textbooks are textbooks that have been funded, published, and licensed to be freely used, adapted, and distributed. These books can be downloaded for no cost, or printed a low cost.

University of Florida Digital Collections (UFDC)
The University of Florida Digital Collections (UFDC) hosts more than 300 outstanding digital collections, containing over 14 million pages, covering over 78 thousand subjects in rare books, manuscripts, antique mapschildren’s literature, newspapers, theses and dissertations, data sets, photographs, oral histories, and more for permanent access and preservation. Through UFDC, users have free and Open Access to full unique and rare materials held by the University of Florida and partner institutions.

Open Book Publishers
Open Book Publishers are changing the nature of the traditional academic book. Books are published in hardback, paperback and ebook editions, but also publish free online editions of every title in PDF, HTML and XML formats that can be read via our website, downloaded, reused or embedded anywhere. Their books are currently being accessed freely worldwide by over 20,000 readers each month. 

Living Economics
Living Economics provides real-world stories, cutting-edge Flash animations, test banks, and online lectures for economic teachers to customize their own principles textbooks. It is intended to serve primarily those teachers who have been searching for a principles textbook that teaches economic concepts from real-world stories instead of widgets. Living Economics is inspired by the time-honored practice of learning languages through immersion rather than remembering grammatical rules. 

MDPI BOOKS (Molecular Diversity Preservation International)
